This lone tusker obstructed our safari for few minutes. Just as we entered the gate of Durgur road in the jungles of BRT, this guy was staring at our jeep from a distance. We had spotted this on the previous evening at least 5 kilometers away from this place. It was just awesome to watch this guy's single tusk.

What an impressive tusker! Wow! His size and bulk is overwhelming! Not the kind of character you want to fool around with, I guess. :-)
It's really heartening to know that despite all the extensive poaching we have inflicted on these beautiful and sensitive creatures, the gene of tuskers with long, gleaming tusks hasn't become entirely extinct. Just shows that given half a chance, Nature can recover and does recover...
Very true Santhosh. Its only nature that has this wonderful capability to recover given a chance. Man's intervention is degrading and obliterating wonderful species' on the planet which is disappointing.
