Paddy field pipit ( Anthus rufulus )
It was a tiring day and still we wanted to do some birding. Incidentally the light turned out to be sweet and warm and we were near the cauvery river just outside Mysore and I spotted this one land few meters from me. When I looked through the view finder I could see the strands of grass and those tiny flower giving me a lovely composition. I had to wait for this bird to move to this position and it did, as it got a bit curious about my lens :)

Fabulous picture, Pramod! A winner all the way, for its surreal light, lovely environs, dream composition and vivid colours. This picture really touched my heart.
