Black Ibis ( Pseudibis papillosa )
We were completely exhausted and it was the last few stretch towards Mysore that made us more tired. Sun was harsh and we reached the outskirts of Mysore. Just as when we were cruising we spotted these Black Ibis resting in the field.

This is an enduring epitome of Mysore outskirts. Even on the Mysore-Gundlupet road you get to see these beauties hanging about in the paddy fields, with their red-crowned, black bodies sticking out from the lush-green expanse. You've done marvellously well to bring those vivid memories back.
