Nature Frames

We intruded the territory of this small yet, a beautiful bird that was preparing for an early dinner. It was a little confused when it saw 2 people staring at it and instantly aiming 2 huge monster lenses at it.

Thanks to few spells of rains since couple of weeks, the background was green enough and I am extremely satisfied with the shot. The reason for such a degree of satisfaction is because I was totally unprepared for the shot. The lens was not mounted on the tripod and as the car came to a screeching halt (as soon as we spotted this bird), I took my camera out, attached the lens and just ran as fast as I can to position myself. Fortunately, this effort proved fruitful. Hand holding a 500mm lens which has no Image Stabilization mechanism built in it and getting a sharp image like this one is not an easy job! I am loving it!!
